AUTHOR GUIDELINES

• Research Articles: Empirical or theoretical articles (4,000–7,000 words)
• Conceptual Papers: Non-empirical, theory-building work
• Case Studies: Business or leadership-focused real-world analyses
• Leadership Perspectives: Short, practice-oriented articles (1,500–2,500 words)

Manuscript Submission Format

• Manuscripts must be double-spaced, Times New Roman 12 pt, with standard margins.
• Submit two separate documents:
• 1. Title Page (includes title, author names, affiliations, contact details, abstract, author bios, acknowledgments, AI tool usage statement)
• 2. Main Document (includes title and abstract, but no author info for peer review)
• Abstract: Maximum 200 words
• Referencing style: APA 7th edition
• Avoid footnotes and complex mathematical notation unless essential

Citations and References

• All in-text citations and references must comply with APA 7.0 guidelines
• Include DOIs where available
• References must be accurate, complete, and alphabetically listed

Tables and Figures

• Must comply with APA 7th edition formatting
• Insert within the manuscript near their first citation
• Provide high-resolution images and permission if using copyrighted material

Ethical Policy and Licensing

• Submissions must be original, unpublished, and not under review elsewhere
• Authors must submit a signed Copyright Transfer Agreement upon acceptance
• SAJBL allows self-archiving in line with our open access and copyright policies
